About this item
- Acoustically Invisible Stealth Magnet: Unlike the sound waves created by a conventional magnet, the special shape of Stealth Magnets enables the waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference. HIFIMAN’s advanced magnet design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The reduced distortion yields pure sonic output that is accurate and full-range.
- HIFIMAN Heritage: HIFIMAN’s NEO "supernano" Diaphragm (NsD)- The new NsD is 80% thinner than previous designs, resulting in fast response and detailed image with lush, full range sonics.
- The Headband: The light-weight, ergonomically accurate offers maximum comfort for hours of listening pleasure.
- The socket can accommodate both dual-sided unbalanced 3.5mm cable and a single-sided 3.5mm balanced cable (left socket). Bluemini R2R (sold separately) is easy of use by connecting on the left socket.

Bass is present, and there is some sub-bass. The bass on the Ananda is more impressive due to sheer size while the Sundara is faster and punchier.
Vocals sound the best on the Deva Pro out of the three, very natural sounding and intimate. Ananda has a dip in high mids that makes some vocals sound muffed or distant while Sundara is a good middle ground.
Treble is neutral with one peak. Sundara sounds more treble forward and is better if you like treble.
Soundstage is maybe 60-70% of the ananda and imaging is significantly worse. Vertical height is similar to Ananda and bigger than the Sundara. However, it is more forgiving of poorer recorded or quality songs. If you don’t care about hearing all the micro details the Deva Pro is good enough for you.
Two main things I don’t like about the Deva Pro:
1. The headband is very unstable which is the main reason I chose the Ananda over the XS.
2. There’s one nasty peak in the treble that I fixed by adding tape to the lower part of the driver.
So, one year on I have taken advantage of my IFi Zen DAC V.2's balanced headphone out jack by purchasing a Youkamoo 4.4mm TRRS to 3.5mm TRRS cable so to fit into the Deva Pro's left earpiece
and run this Deva Pro wired "balanced". Hooked up, it took a good 12+ hours of continuous play to bring a truly "locked in" soundstage with a clearer and cleaner presentation than with the stock cables. And I've also purchased a TRRS 3.5mm extension cable from Devinal (2 in the bag) that transparently extends the length of this balanced connection. This balanced connection with the IFi Zen DAC V.2 elevates the HIFIMAN Deva Pro wired headphones up, up, up the performance ladder and has me not wanting to take them off when listening to either TIDAL MAX or even Youtube music free. This is truly a new experience for me that elevates my listening experience and leaves a smile on my face from ear to ear. FABULOUS...
I know these are a low end model from Hifiman, but I've heard new things in my music that l haven't heard before.
I own a b&w p5, a 300$ planar magnetic headphones from monoprice, and the regular deva.
I prefer the Deva pro over the regular Deva, the main thing l hear is a slight bump in bass.
Makes songs have more body.
